Frequently answered questions
We recommend familiarizing yourself with the platform by starting on the DSROI platform dashboard and looking at the various links to identify where the discussion forum is, the weekly schedule and the Zoom link for lectures. We also recommend you click on the link to sign and submit a consent form. Then we recommend introducing yourself using the online discussion forum. From there, we suggest you go to the section meet your faculty to get to know a little about them. Then you can begin reviewing the content for Module 1.
If you are unable to attend a live lecture, a recording as well as transcripts from the session will be uploaded to the platform. You can find the links to the recordings on the DSROI platform dashboard under the heading: Quick Access. You will find a link that says Lecture Recordings.
You can contact the CREA team by emailing email@example.com

The discussion forum is a place for conversation with fellow DSROI participants and the faculty. For some modules, DSROI faculty will ask participants to answer questions or respond to prompts within the lectures on the DSROI platform. It is also a place to ask questions to participants and share experiences. Each week you will have a Radical Action to watch, read or listen to with questions for you to answer. Your answers to the Radical Action questions can be posted on the discussion forum. The faculty for each module will start a thread to ask for responses to the Radical Action questions for their specific module.
Wednesday group engagement sessions are meant to be spaces to allow for discussions and relationship building between participants and DSROI faculty. We will watch (listen to, read) a film together, have a virtual space for celebrating together, hold a discussion on disability arts and representation and make time and space for building relationships. The Wednesday meetings are also intended to provide some levity, joy and even celebration as a community as we traverse the DSROI institute. We know that the DSROI content can be difficult and even triggering at times so we want to counterbalance that with some opportunities to connect, form relationships, ask questions and have fun together.
