This session from the Reproductive Health Matters (RHM) 2017 conference explores the intersection of disability and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Experts discuss inclusive health policies, accessibility barriers, and advocacy strategies for ensuring reproductive justice for people with disabilities. One main topic was medicalisation, or the ways that medical systems stigmatise and oppress non-normative bodies and sexualities.
They admitted that social movements respond to this threat differently, and in ways that do not always align.
